Steve was very passionate and equally competitive in all his work and personal activities. He climbed the corporate ladder with light speed, becoming Micron CEO at age 34. Outside of work, he excelled at each and every sport he thrust himself into. He said in an interview to a local reporter in 2004 that if he passed away (today), he'd be happy because he felt he had already lived his life to the fullest.
He leaves behind a big hole in his family, survived by his wife Dalynn and four children. He leaves behind a big hole in the business community here, but somehow I think he will become just as much a legacy in death, as he was in life. For those who know this area, anyone want to put on the ballot a name change from Table Rock to Appleton Rock?
