Consulting Services
Through the years, I have taken my products from the idea stage to either selling them in the market or licensing them to outside companies. Either way, getting a product to market takes a lot of hard work and requires passion, dedication and determination. For individuals needing help moving their ideas closer to the market stage, I am offering my consulting services based on the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated in bringing products to market. My new product consulting services, with "inventor friendly" fees, are based on my results-oriented inventing practices combined with my creative product marketing strategies:
Evaluation |
|
Your new product will go through a basic assessment based on the initial "wow" factor (the combined marketability and uniqueness of the product), the target market, potential market size, likely competitors, the ability to potentially protect the idea from competitors, potential licensing client matches, as well as exploring other possible applications of the product. |
Unchartered Waters
Most people with a new product idea are going through this journey for the first time. In trying to market or license the product, there are many critical decisions that need to be made on an ongoing basis...all which can severely impact the outcome. |
|
Getting Through |
|
New inventors, armed with their "hot" new product idea, sometimes feel like manufacturers/marketers are just waiting for them to call them with their new idea. It is really the opposite in the real world; companies are very focused on their own internal activities and are often uninterested in looking at new product ideas and concepts from outside sources. |
Expect to Cut Some Corners
I'm a firm believer in cutting as many corners as needed, when it comes to both time and money. But you should never cut a corner if it will negatively impact the desired end result. I can help you speed up timeframes and minimize the outlay of expenses, which in turn will maximize your ROI (Return on Invention!) in getting your product up and running. |
|
Contracting Services |
|
When trying to bring a new product to market, inventors have many decisions to make regarding the contracting of professional services in the quest to bring their product to market. Contracting companies to provide services like engineering, graphic design, prototyping, as well as legal help (patenting, trademarking, contracts and legal advice) can quickly become a financial drain on any individual. I can help advise you where best to spend your available dollars (in the order of importance) if and when you need to contract out for services. |
Promoting Your New Product
Whether you are trying to license your product idea to a company or to market it on your own, you need to promote your product at the very highest level possible (but only within your financial means). Promotional materials sent to a prospective licensee (or licensing agent) need to be professional, succinct, easy to understand, include short demos, and focus on highlighting the "wow" factor. The people reviewing your product are very busy...so if your presentation is not well thought out or put together, don't expect it to get looked at seriously. |

Just a Click (Or a Call) Away |
|
My very reasonable consulting fee is pre-paid and covers all communications with me (phone, e-mail, mail, etc.) for a 90-day period (three months). It can be renewed as often as needed while you continue to pursue the marketing or licensing of your new product. |
